Chicago Blues Festival
June 8-10, 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
The Chicago Blues Festival is the largest free blues festival in the world and remains the largest of Chicago’s Music Festivals. During three days on four stages, blues fans enjoy free live music in the “Blues Capital of the World.” Past performers include Bonnie Raitt, the late Ray Charles, the late B.B. King, the late Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, the late Koko Taylor, Shemekia Copeland, Gary Clark Jr, Rhiannon Giddens, Lil Ed and the Imperials and Bobby Rush.
Movies in the Park
Hollywood stars return to Chicago skies this summer, as Movies in the Parks brings big-screen entertainment to local parks for the eighteenth season. Featuring everything from classics from the Golden Age of Hollywood and retro childhood favorites, to the best family-friendly box office favorites from recent years. All movies begin at dusk. There are so many dinner cruises out on Lake Michigan we can’t begin to name them all. This 3-hour cruise is a sure bet for a good dinner, heart-pumping music, and the best views of Chicago’s skyline, including the nightly fireworks over the lake.

Two days to go wild, craft beer lovers! Lincoln Park Zoo and Lou Dog Events is hosting the fourth annual Craft Brews beer festival at Lincoln Park Zoo! Savor a selection of 120-plus specialty beers from more than 40 local and regional breweries at this one-of-a-kind event. Beer tasting stations will be set up throughout the zoo’s beautiful gardens during this after-hours experience just for adults. Plus, enjoy food for purchase, DJ entertainment, lawn games and views of the zoo’s amazing animals!
